Clip Sweeper Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 10, 2026
Clip Sweeper is a macOS application that analyzes Adobe Premiere Pro project files locally on your Mac. Your privacy is simple to explain: the app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data outside of your computer.
Clip Sweeper does not collect any data. Specifically:
No analytics or usage tracking
No crash reporting sent to us or any third party
No account creation or sign-in
No network requests of any kind
No cookies, identifiers, or device fingerprinting
The app stores the following files locally on your Mac for its own functionality. These files never leave your device:
Audit log - A record of files you have deleted or moved, stored in your Application Support folder. This is for your own reference and can be viewed within the app.
Statistics - Aggregated counts (files deleted, space saved, etc.) stored in your Application Support folder.
Trace files - Optional text receipts written to directories where files were removed, documenting what was deleted. You control whether these are created.
All local data can be removed by deleting the app and its Application Support folder at ~/Library/Application Support/ClipSweeper/.
Clip Sweeper runs inside the macOS App Sandbox. It can only access files and folders that you explicitly select through open dialogs or drag and drop. The app reads your Premiere Pro project files to analyze media usage, and accesses media files on disk to check their status, generate thumbnails, and perform delete or move operations that you initiate.
Clip Sweeper does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs. The app operates entirely offline.
Clip Sweeper does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Since the app does not collect data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
